Kyle Wheatley

          Kyle Wheatley is a Dover, Delaware native who currently serves as a Board Chairman for Route 1 Sports and has a passion for serving the communities in which he is involved. 

          Kyle’s professional resume includes operational management positions with General Dynamics Land Systems, Janus Global Worldwide, and his current employer – Zoetis, the world’s leader in Animal Health Science.  At Zoetis, Kyle works as the Site Director of a Pharmaceutical Facility in Salisbury, MD.  His career is supported by specialized leadership training received during 10 years served as a United States Marine and he is the recipient of multiple awards for outstanding performance and professionalism. As a Marine and private contractor, Kyle deployed many times to worldwide locations and was exposed to eye opening life experiences.  These experiences combined with his passion for sports began years of mentorship and coaching to give back to the communities where he lives.  

          Kyle and his wife Lindsey reside in Kent County, Delaware with their three children, Declan, Austin, and Knox. With his children fully involved in youth sports, Kyle understands the need for proper sports programming and management. He aims to serve the Route 1 Sports Board with high standards in moral and ethical conduct, professional transparency, and to ensure Route 1 Sports keeps true to its mission of community give back.
