Josh Tucker

          Josh Tucker grew up in Dover, Delaware and serves as the Board Executive Director of Route 1 Sports and is committed to providing youth sports opportunities in the community.

           Josh’s resume includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management from York College of Pennsylvania.  Additionally he has held several management positions including Youth Program Director for Central Delaware YMCA where he oversaw youth sports programs, youth enrichment, and summer camp programs for 6 years.  He moved on to work for several youth soccer organizations including CDSA, Delaware Union, Delaware ODP, and Coastal Atlantic Futbol Club.  His positions included Head Staff Coach, Recreational Director of Coaching, Zone 2 Director of Coaching, and Technical Director over the last 15 years.  Currently Josh serves as the Program Director at DE Turf Sports Complex where he oversees all of the local youth sports programs and leagues, as well as the Adult Summer Soccer League.  Josh’s current employer is A.P. Croll and Son Inc. where he is an civil construction estimator and project manager.  The various positions throughout his career give him a specialization in operational management and logistics.  

          Josh currently resides in Kent County Delaware with his wife Heidi. Josh is heavily involved in all aspects of youth sports within Kent and Sussex County, and his goal is to continue to expand opportunities across Delaware. He looks to ensure Route 1 Sports provides inclusive not exclusive programming, and creates an environment where athletes are able to develop and thrive.
